Triglycomet 15 Tablet consists of three antidiabetic medications: glibenclamide, metformin, and pioglitazone. When single or dual therapy fails, they use various strategies to improve blood sugar control. Glibenclamide is a sulfonylurea that acts by boosting pancreatic insulin release to reduce blood glucose levels. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by reducing glucose synthesis in the liver, slowing glucose absorption in the intestines, and boosting insulin sensitivity. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione that enhances insulin sensitivity.
